In our Beginning Elements class, we concentrated on basic workflow techniques, such as creating working files, choosing color spaces, and the automatic tools that are available.
As we learned then, there are many time when the automatic tools make our picture look worse rather than better. In Intermediate Elements, we introduce the use of layers for color, brightness, and contrast adjustments. The use of non-destructive editing is one of the most important and powerful techniques as we improve our skills.
